"Kennedy, who hasn't fought in nearly nine years and ended his career with back-to-back knockout losses at UFC 178 and UFC 206, posted on social media Tuesday to say the Bronze Star with Valor he has been claiming he was awarded for his time in the Army is not true, and that he has "misstated" other aspects of his time in the service."

Wtf? I wouldn't have pegged Tim to be the kind of dude to lie about his service.

I'm not savvy on this, but where did he claim he had a bronze star? Is it something he directly stated? His list of medals on wiki doesn't show it, I'm sure there is a better website for keeping track of those things. Regardless,if he's apologizing he's obviously acknowledging he did something he shouldn't have. Very surprising tho he would make something up considering his true achievements.

Brian stann has a silver star for that tank battle incident, what would a bronze star be awarded for?

The 2nd post is a link to his Twitter where he himself talks about it

Something slightly less bad ass, bronze being worth less than silver?
Yea I guess. Maybe he implied that he was third person to shoot someone that day and people got the wrong idea...
