The UFC Fight Night 59 main card kicks off at 10 p.m. EST live from Boston. While the main event and co-main have major title implications, the opening fights of the main card should also give us a better idea of where the men involved stand in their given division. Check below for a fight breakdown and my predictions.
Main Card (on FOX Sports 1):

Norman Parke (20-2-1) vs. Gleison Tibau (32-10)
This is an interesting fight. It’s a step up in competition for Parke who is on an 11 fight unbeaten streak and has had an impressive run in the UFC thus far. He does not however have the experience of fighting top-notch competition like Tibau has, which includes such guys as Nick Diaz, Rafael dos Anjos, Khabib Nurmagomedov and many more. I expect Tibau to grind out an ugly win by using his size and strength to clinch and keep the fight against the fence.
Prediction: (W) Gleison Tibau via Unanimous Decision over (L) Norman Parke
Uriah Hall (9-4) vs. Ron Stallings (12-6, 1 NC)

I didn’t know much about Ron Stallings going into this fight so I did a little research. The one-time Strikeforce vet is a journeyman who hasn’t been able to string many consecutive wins together to get him to the big show. Stallings won three straight fights, all by finish before dropping his most recent to Tim Williams on a card from the northeastern based, Cage Fury Fighting Championships back in November. We all know Uriah Hall’s potential and if he fights to his potential on Sunday, he should make light work of Stallings.
Prediction: (W) Uriah Hall via TKO over (L) Ron Stallings-Round 2
Benson Henderson (21-4) vs. Donald Cerrone (26-6, 1 NC)
This will be the third meeting between these two fighters and Benson currently holds 2 wins over the red-hot Donald Cerrone. The two major questions coming into this fight are, "How will Cerrone look after such a quick turnaround from his fight against Myles Jury?" and "How will Benson respond from his first KO/TKO loss of his career?". Cowboy is a much more confident fighter than he was during his WEC days and I expect that to be the difference. This should be a shoe-in for fight of the night.

Prediction: (W) Donald Cerrone via Unanimous Decision over (L) Benson Henderson

Conor McGregor (16-2) vs. Dennis Siver (22-9)

Both Conor and his coach John Kavanaugh have predicted an early first round finish within the opening minutes of the contest. Though those predictions are certainly possible, Siver has spoiled the party before when he defeated George Sotiropoulos back at UFC127, who was on an 8-fight win streak at the time. Unfortunately, there isn't anything that would lead us to believe that history will repeat itself here. Stylistically, this will be a difficult matchup for Siver. Conor's speed, power and ability to counter overly aggressive strikers have paved the way for the Irish star to begin his UFC career with a perfect 4-0 record.

Prediction: (W) Conor McGregor via TKO over (L) Dennis Siver- Round 1
