FITETV, an online combat-sports network, will be streaming UFC 215 this weekend. In a press release (via MMA Junkie), they issued a short statement:

“When we first launched FITE TV, our goal was to bring combat sports fans the very best events. The signing of this distribution deal with UFC has validated that goal, and we look forward to building an amazing relationship with the sports industry leader.”

The status of the UFC’s relationship with the old company, NeuLion, who had issues with the May-Mac streaming, hasn’t been explained as of yet. You can still stream UFC 215 this weekend on the UFC website, or FITETV.

The streaming issues have led to a possible class action lawsuit from fans that were denied the chance to watch.

Does this actually mean that fitetv is going to be streaming ufc events through their app long-term, or just that they will provide the infrastructure for fight pass streaming once they get everything set up? Seems weird that ufc would want a long-term deal that has people paying through a competitor.

Don't do it!

Don't let the ducks weasel out of addressing, and refunding, their huge fuck up.

They pocketed the may mac money from people who could not see the fight, likely millions of dollars, and donated $10k to Harvey relief.

I have had a low opinion of the UFC for years, but it gets worse and worse. Not even sure I will sit by the river to watch their events to by anymore. Why support a bunch of scumbags? For the fighters? Yes, but they are allowing themselves to be fucked, so I am about out of empathy for them also.

I got a refund that I didn't even bother to request. I may be in the minority there but it's not like they weren't/aren't issuing refunds.
