The UFC organization has been notified that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Nick Diaz of a potential Anti-Doping Policy violation stemming from Diaz’s alleged accumulation of three Whereabouts Failures within a 12-month period. Diaz, like all other UFC athletes, is enrolled in USADA’s UFC Registered Testing Pool and required to file accurate Whereabouts information in order to be located for out-of-competition, no-notice testing.

USADA, the independent administrator of the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, will handle the results management and appropriate adjudication of Diaz’s case, who has been provisionally suspended pending the final resolution of this matter. Under the UFC Anti-Doping Policy, there is a full and fair legal process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed. Additional information will be provided at the appropriate time as the process moves forward.

Bellator would welcome nick back if he could get out of his contract.

the guy is basically being violated without ever failing a test .the ufc is fucked. the guy hasnt got a paycheck from the ufc in years and doesnt have one coming any time in the foreseeable future . someone needs to challenge this shit in court. i dont see how that is even legal for independant contractors to have all these conditions enforced against them

If he wants to fight again one day, he has to follow the rules. If he doesn't want to fight again, he should retire so that he doesn't have to follow the rules.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for Nick Diaz to understand.

it is frustrating for sure .nick does himself no favours and has been his own worst enemy.at the same time the ufc has blurred the line between contractor and employee
Absolutely. The uniform thing is crazy. But I'm not sure about how unusual it is for companies to require independent contractors to undergo regular drug testing.

I think Nick has been hanging on hoping the UFC would offer him a huge pay day but he may as well retire now. He's obviously not that interested in fighting any more.

To be honest, why did he even bother fighting the 5 year ban? He's almost reached that number of fightless years.....

Nick is his own worst enemy a lot of the time. He complains about everyone he fights are cheating, then when a program is instituted to make the playing field as fair as possible, he just won't follow the rules of that program. I don't think he was cheating, but the whole point of random testing is to prove it - and by not providing his whereabouts, 3 times, he is failing to prove it.

I think your first statement says it. Rules are rules. It isnt particularly hard, just annoying. If he just retired then he wouldnt have to worry. Retiring doesnt mean you cant come back either.

Seems he literally gives zero fucks. He must have made bank up to this point to be so out of the game. That man parties hard according to his instagram.

like he cares...no fight signed no reason to be tested

Maybe he should just "retire" like some fighters do to get juicy

Nick is not on PEDs and won't ever be...we all know that

USADA's not trying hard enough. Follow Nick on Snapchat and you'll know exactly where he is at any given moment, it's not that difficult. Also, don't bother with the weed tests, he's positive.

He no-shows press conferences when he's active and I'm supposed to be surprised he doesn't tell usada when he decides to travel when he's inactive for several years?
