I'm a bit anal about sentence structure(who would have guessed), upon seeing this post I wanted to edit it and change the structure, but no option shows up.

Posts are able to be edited for a little over a day before they can't be.

@STANDWITHRAND I can't edit the title of the ATM thread to remove the new part for after this event. Is there a specific reason for editing being restricted to 24 hours?

Yes. We had a few separate incidences over the last year in which people would start shit and then edit their post to hide and minimize their actions that are stirring the pot with others. We can go and see the history but its much tougher to do that way. Triples our work to understand why somebody is considered a troublemaker if we don't see the original. So if people post it, own it.

The other was a couple of incidence in where somebody got angry and commented out a bunch of their post. Good quality stuff that the whole community was enjoying. They getting some e-battle and decide are going to go and edit out everything and leave. Then we get a message saying "hey I'm back I needed to go cool off and can you undelete my 100 posts"

By the way lol, you must do more post-editing than anybody.

Would a fortnight be acceptable, or maybe 10 days? It would allow threads to be made with (NEW) tags and then removed after a week has passed, which is beneficial for the ATMs.
