I do like the US Open. Its normally 1 under that gets it. Once recently it was 1 over i believe.
The pros bitch and moan that its too difficult. Well fuck you college boys I want to see you struggle. It's what everyone else does.

6 under is the biggest score to win in a while. Maybe the uspga is getting soft or maybe the English man who won it is better than the soft whining yanks.
I saw a couple decent shots land on the green, check up then roll 40 yards down a false front. I always picture the greenskeeper letting out an evil laugh every time that happens.

Matt Fitzpatrick was fun to watch. Played aggressively all tournament and kept the throttle down on the back 9 yesterday. Have to feel for Zalatoris. Two majors in the row he's came in second and was so close to winning. Both of those guys are going to win multiple majors.
Agreed but there are so many top top golfers atm. Golfers who are Woods level of ability if not better.
I can't see anyone dominating atm. Apart from sheffler. He seems the one player that has the ball on a string atm.

Its mad to think that mcillroy (sic) was thought to be the next Woods. But he's only won 4. I say only. That's amazing. But the new level of golfer surpasses him easily.
Its become a bit like tennis. They start at 4 years old now.
They are just machines. Boring metronomes. I like Tommy Fleetwood. Like his style. But he has no chance against the modern golfer. They are like poker players. Calculating the risk reward.
I miss a player like Woods or Seve. Even Faldo.

It was his putting that blew me away. Anything under 20 feet and you just knew he would make it 80% of the time.
I don't like to brag, but I had a shot Saturday where I was 215 yards out on a par 5 and had to draw it around a pine tree to have any hope of hitting the green.

I play once every few years if a buddy rolls thru and insists
If somebody has one of those big bertha or other mega drivers I ask to borrow it
Then I launch bombs that the club owner usually can't achieve( quick hips and back, ugggghhhh ), then they get pissed
I usually score better than the regulars the first few holes even with my poopy short game
The rub is that I am only good for 30 good swings, I don't finish the round...no muscle endurance, which also entertains the regulars.
