Alright this is my 2nd Demian Maia thread in 2 days, which I guess makes me a peter puffer who likes Brazilians who wear pajamas and lie on top of other dudes for 25 minutes at a time.

But there is actually a pretty big dilemma for the UFC here. Maia wants to keep going, so who do they have him fight? He's already taken out a lot of 170 contenders and would probably still be the favorite to beat anyone in the division not named Woodley and possibly Wonderboy

They don't want him rematching Woodley, but if they give him other contenders, he probably just knocks them over, killing their momentum and may eventually force the UFC's hand again. If they let him walk to Bellator, it only increase that organization's legitimacy, especially seeing as they already have several top welterweights.

He's never getting a title shot again. But the fact that fight was so boring was nothing to do with him. He tried to engage, threw more strikes than t wood and at least tried his hand. Woodley was dire. His takedown defence was great, that's it. Everything else was non existent

Colby Covington lets see if he trys to dry hump Maia.
The problem with giving him younger wrestlers like Covington or Usman is that the fights can turn into shitty striking matches and he probably beats them anyway.

K1 Maia has won fights, it's just not pretty. As his two title fights showed, if a guy can stop Maia's TDs it's actually probably going to be a terrible fight.

Any fight with Maia is terrible tbh.
