A) IDGAF about the WNBA or its lack of profit.
B) While I don't the rules of the WNBA or any possible rule changes in the NBA since I last followed it in the 90's, AFAIK, basketball is intended to be a non-contact sport. If a player is getting pushed around, a rule has been broken making the enforcement job that of the referees.
C) Enforcers are for sports like hockey, a man's sport such as the NHL rather than the NBA.
D) While I've heard the style of the game played in the NBA has "changed" since I paid attention, it may be the claim that today's style has more contact which may also mean the NBA has made changes to their rules to accommodate that. If so, I don't care (but from what I've heard, their refs have sucked for a along time anyway). However, that doesn't mean their female equivalent league, the WNBA, should have the same rules. This circles me back to the refs being the enforcers across the league making this a league issue.
E) Otherwise, a teammate of this young lady needs to go out there and start throwing elbows while the team pays her fines, covers any of her lost pay, and/or legal fees that may occur.
I could complain a lot more about basketball, but I've already thought about basketball more than I care to. Also, I haven't read the thread.
