This is text book racism but just toward white people from the black community It isn't even subtle it is blatant. Oddly enough this doesn't seem to be a problem in the NBA only the WNBA.

Textbook racism would include a demonstration of racial superiority vs racial inferiority.

It does not mean poor treatment of someone with a different shade of skin color than your own.

It's absolutely institutional racism according to Merriam-Webster, the dictionary people.

2a
: the systemic oppression of a racial group to the social, economic, and political advantage of another

the report described institutional racism as a form of collective behaviour, a workplace culture supported by a structural status quo, and a consensus—often excused and ignored by authorities.

Tell me. How do they define female.
a(1)
: of, relating to, or being the sex that typically has the capacity to bear young or produce eggs

Just admit you're wrong, gaylord.

What else does it say? Also, you don't notice the use of "typically"? To the exclusion of some extraordinary circumstance a female has the capacity. The exclusion is not the rule nor it's primary definition. Relating to? Come on.

A) IDGAF about the WNBA or its lack of profit.

B) While I don't the rules of the WNBA or any possible rule changes in the NBA since I last followed it in the 90's, AFAIK, basketball is intended to be a non-contact sport. If a player is getting pushed around, a rule has been broken making the enforcement job that of the referees.

C) Enforcers are for sports like hockey, a man's sport such as the NHL rather than the NBA.

D) While I've heard the style of the game played in the NBA has "changed" since I paid attention, it may be the claim that today's style has more contact which may also mean the NBA has made changes to their rules to accommodate that. If so, I don't care (but from what I've heard, their refs have sucked for a along time anyway). However, that doesn't mean their female equivalent league, the WNBA, should have the same rules. This circles me back to the refs being the enforcers across the league making this a league issue.

E) Otherwise, a teammate of this young lady needs to go out there and start throwing elbows while the team pays her fines, covers any of her lost pay, and/or legal fees that may occur.

I could complain a lot more about basketball, but I've already thought about basketball more than I care to. Also, I haven't read the thread.

of, relating to, or being the sex that typically has the capacity to bear young or produce eggs

Or

of the sex that has the capacity to bear young or produce eggs

Which of those is more accurate? Ok. So you're using a questionable source for definitions that demonstrably has been influenced by false 21st century western ideology, at least in two instances.

This is simple stuff.

Merriam-webster, the oldest dictionary publisher in the United States, is a questionable source?

You, Sir, are hilarious.

it has nothing to do with refs and coaches, IMO, its bigger then that
Bullshit- there have been racist assholes & sociopaths in sports for as long as there has been sports.

Bottom line is that its the refs, coaches, and owners to shut that shit down. Its on them to control the players or pull them.

I just ran across several articles this morning selling the same narrative, about how horrible the joke was and how it landed with a thud with the audience. None of it is true.
