Woodley isnt gonna get away from the rematch, he has to go 5 rounds once again, a draw doesnt mean your the best.

Rematch is the only option. Woodley will just bang on about big money fights. Not saying he doesn't deserve money but him not shutting up about that annoys me

That draw needs to be addressed first. If it was a close decision, I'd see some wiggle room, but that draw needs to be fixed.

Here's what Chuck Liddell would "say." Mentally, Wonderboy is ready for a rematch. OTOH, wouldn't a warm-up fight versus Maia make sense to tighten up WB's sloppiness against Woodley's TD's? Wouldn't the Maia contest be a great test tube to ramp up his striking game which clearly DIDN'T carry the day against Woodley?

Wonderboy needs a large step up to be a competitive favorite with Woodley. TMMAC's members have recognized, unlike the fan base, that Woodley's skill set, at this time, is championship level. Period. People are still gauging him by the MacDonald fight.

You hit the nail on the head.... I would say, no immediate rematch needed....

EDIT: Come to think of it... let's have Woodley beat Diaz... then Wonderboy can do Diaz. The latter would be a very entertaining match....

Even in the new era of not even pretending to respect rankings, Nick "I haven't won a fight in 5 years" Diaz is not getting an immediate title shot. The whole thing is nonsense and makes Woodley look ridiculous.

Nick will never get a title shot. His recent fight record simply will not justify anything close to a title fight. On top of that, let's say he wins the belt. Total disaster for the promotion with no-shows to press conferences, media interviews etc...

Whilst you can't knock woodley for wanting money, as a fan of sport not money fights it annoys me. Pay him the money but if you draw in a title fight you gotta rematch... No questions.

But I get it. If I win the lottery I'm gonna start a short lived fight league and pay every fighter so well they could retire in 5 years
