but the way she moves it with no reaction from her body tells me the weight of Ax is way off

I collect them and I Split wood all the time....trust me that thing is probably plastic and hollow

They are at my pops place in Cali...I go there monthly and I will take pics for you...I just learned imgur 3 weeks ago so I really don't have many pictures.
Most are antique that I get at estate/garage sales and then I restore them and give them nice handles
These are not my images...but this is my favorite...Gransfors Bruks Hunting Axe...
Gränsfors Bruk Hunter’s Axe

The poll of this axe is forged thinner than normal and gently rounded and burnished to a Flay Poll to be used when skinning an animal. The axe is also good for chopping wood, as well as meat. The grip of the handle has circular grooves which give a steady grip even if your hands are wet or sticky with Blood. Features a 3-1/4” face, a 19”L hickory handle and the head weighs 1-1/2 lbs. Grain-leather sheath is included. Backed by a 20-year manufacturer’s warranty.
These are individually handmade and are stamped with the initials of the smith
there are only 10 smiths that work for this company...high end shit bro

My son asked for an axe for Christmas! wtf? But what he described was more of a hatchet, I think.
