Magomedsharipov recently signed a new UFC contract, MMA Fighting confirmed with his management team. The Dagestani fighter had one fight left on his contract following his unanimous decision win over Kyle Bochniak at UFC 223 and decided to a new multi-fight deal with the promotion. Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but it is for more than four fights.
This is the second good piece of news for Magomedsharipov as of late, who found out last week that he won’t need surgery on his injured right hand after all. Magomedsharipov and his team feared he broke his hand in the locker room at Barclays Center in Brooklyn just minutes before his fight against Bochniak, however, doctors in Las Vegas informed him that he ultimately suffered a strained ligament in his hand and should not be sidelined for an extended period of time.
