I made it about half way through season one. Not bad but the river fishing off horseback then saving a kid scene was too corny for me to handle. I hear season two is better so I may bite down and power through.

Sometimes you need to just let things go to enjoy a good show.

I agree some shit is ridiculous, but I give it a pass. The acting, choreography and set pieces more than make up for a shit scene.
