What do you do with the banana beforehand?Black coffee and a banana
Fresh water? And generally we have a lot going on inland as well.
8 and a halfFresh water?
@Lars told me there's "good surfing" on the great lakes (he's a 24-hour drive from a real coast).
I just figured he was retarded.
No place in Germany is that far from a coast.Fresh water?

How thick of a wetsuit do you wear up there if you are actually in the water?
I assume you just wear a life vest if ocean paddling.
I haven't been straight paddling in the ocean yet, still mainly in water near me.Fireboy Ed ain't getting on the water...haha

Lol @ being scared of cold waterI haven't been straight paddling in the ocean yet, still mainly in water near me.
A wetsuit isn't suited for sup, a drysuit is. I use neoprene shoes/socks tho when the water is cold, I have 3mm and 5mm thick.
Rock in German means skirt. So think of it as skirt music in your head.Q @Qat hates rock music
Safety first bruv.Lol @ being scared of cold water
You wouldn’t make it in the waters of Georgian BaySafety first bruv.
Oh and@Sound System, I forgot to adress the other thing. No I don't use a vest ever, but I have a leash on at all times and a restube I take with me sometimes.
Nice, I assume your water is pretty cold most of the year.I haven't been straight paddling in the ocean yet, still mainly in water near me.

You wouldn't make it in a narrow canal with big freighter-waves coming in from all sides due to the reflections. You wouldn’t make it in the waters of Georgian Bay
I hear ya, just looked up restubeSafety first bruv.

If you are lucky the water temp is 10+ degrees from late April to early October, if you are unlucky it's only June to August.Nice, I assume your water is pretty cold most of the year.
I don't do anything I have to wear a wetsuit for personally...a lil surfing but you still get cold out here in the Pacific even with a perfect wetsuit so I just don't surf here.
On another note we left one of our inflatables rolled up and bent a fin, gotta keep em partially inflated when stored.
There are quick-snap systems for leashes, but yes, in whitewater you don't wanna be strapped to a board.I hear ya, just looked up restube
I don't wear a vest either unless I get in the river in some serious rapids...kayaking
No wearing a leash in the river tho FYI...I live by a few rivers and that is no bueno
That sounds like chilly water, our lakes are mostly like that also...we have a few shallow alpine lakes here that get warm in summer and freeze in winter. If you are lucky the water temp is 10+ degrees from late April to early October, if you are unlucky it's only June to August.
And yeah wetsuits dont protect that well out of the water.
I store em inflated when not using em for a couple of weeks yes.
Was it a non-removable fin?

haha reminds me of those folding kayaks
You can prolly bent it back by heating it up a little beforehand. Hairdryer should work too. That sounds like chilly water, our lakes are mostly like that also...we have a few shallow alpine lakes here that get warm in summer and freeze in winter.
Yep, it is a non removable side fin...not an expensive model...I can probably fix it.
I actually thought you were ocean riding on a paddle board earlier for whatever reason, that is why I asked about wetsuits...Guys rock wetsuits and paddle boards at surf breaks here, they catch some real nice rides...Pacific Ocean water is cold as fuck year around here
I only mentioned river leashes because a bunch of people make that final mistake here on the local rivers each year. I figured you knew about that hazard.

And yup we have freezes over the winter as well.
If you use a SUP to ride waves it makes sense to rock a wetsuit. I will do it in the future most definitely.
Btw I tried a new paddle today, the water was cold and the wind was strong. But it was a good buy.
Oh for sure. Downwind is fun tho.Nice
The wind can be a demon sometimes.
