I used hickory nuts to smoke the deer ham, then it was chunk/shredded.
I grew ingredients, all heirloom tomatoes, paste, and sun-dried tomatoes.
Wild garlic onion & chives.
Pickled cayenne peppers, and dried cayenne powder.
Pink Himalayan salt, cumin, chili powder, wild honeycomb drizzle.
I used some smoked pinto beans, dark & light red kidney beans.
A little minced garlic.

Fresh Arugula, cilantro, pickled cayenne peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, cheddar & sour cream garnishes.

They're garnishes.
I'd put zero of any of it on my chili, least of all CHEESE.
That's for canned chili.
No cheese, sour cream and jalapenos on your chili? But you garnish with cilantro? I don't even know you anymore.

I ALLOW garnishes by others & provide.
I PERSONALLY do not garnish trophy-level chili at all.
Chili of trophy status should not require garnish or it's an abomination.
In such cases, fresh green onion would be first, sour cream & cheese 2nd & 3rd.
I don't know if I've ever put cilantro or arugula on my chili, but it's probably not bad & was garden fresh.

I wouldnt do that. I do love fresh sour cream and cheese on my chili and dont consider them garnishes. Who got first place and what did his chili taste like?

They put cinnamon in it, every year.
Might as well put cinnamon in Nalley & call yourself a "winner".

Cinnamon? wtf is wrong with people.
I guess they like to win because they've won 2 years in a row.
That's something I've never done but surprisingly it turns out pretty good.
Cinnamon is a pretty versatile ingredient which really only gets tied to sweet things.

I rode 22 miles this week on the mountain bike. Lots of fun; today was 7.2 miles of that and on a black diamond trail. First time doing that
