Apparently, he botched his marketing responsibilities for Pure Spectrum CBD oil, then he tried to use that company's mailing list to promote his failed comedy special. Now that company, that he was part owner of, is suing him.

It sounds like he signed a contract w/o reading it and didn't understand his part, then tried using private company owned customer info to promote a separate product not owned by them in order to spam their own customers.

He then gave back his ownership stake and signed a non-compete agreement for one year. He went on the violate that agreement well before the agreement expired. Then some weird shit happened with the KGB which resulted in Brendan doing more messed up shit involving contracts. In the process of that, he filed false tax returns with the IRS, so they're involved too.

Schaub hasn't responded publicly or through the court regarding this.

Actual footage of Brendan Schaub desperately trying to cling on to the last shreds of his dignity and credibility:

I never liked the dude, always came across as a piece of shit
I was unaware of the hate against him for years. The early days of Fighter and the Kid were great. He was a pretty funny guy at times. He definitely got caught up in the bullshit over the years.

I know. After his seminal, ground-breaking special Gringo Papi, I thought the sky was the limit for Schaub. He even made headway in the fashion world, making grown men wearing Capri pants acceptable.

I also liked him in the early days. People were pissed because he rode the coat tails of his famous friends to get rich. I didn’t mind that. However, it always drove me nuts when Callen talked about him being a marketing genius. C’mon man. You can’t say his name and genius together. Once he bought into that narrative and started pushing his dog shit standup, i was out.

I had heard someone else on another podcast, maybe it was Segura, who made mention of that same skill. I think Schaub had figured out something with merch that a lot of other people didnt know or realize, iirc, and that they talked to him, implemented it, and were making way more money doing it his way.

Had he not done his comedy specials and ate shit for 5-10 years with a smile, he would probably be on a different trajectory.

He has always struck me as someone fearful that the success wont last, which ironically makes him do things that shorten it.
