Brazil? Come on. It sure seems the Brazilian fighters get to fight at home way more than anyone else (who's not American). Vegas would've been better.
well it kinda is the second largest mma market for the UFC so its not outrageous..
I just checked his fight locations and I'm full of shit. Out of his last 17 fights only 3 have been in Brazil.
I am a huge Aldo fan too. Was super pissed when the Connor fight ended so quickly, I felt robbed after that fight. I was also on the bandwagon for him to have an immediate rematch.

Aldo can't sell out a public library in Vegas.
The UFC has no choice but to guilt trip his countrymen into getting excited for one of their own.
I don't understand why he can't sell. He has been one of the most dominant champions the UFC has ever had. I have always bought his PPV's and always watched him in WEC. When he lost to Connor I sat in my basement with my mouth hanging open for a good 30 seconds (while 15 other dudes were jumping up and down screaming). I was so pissed off, not the Connor won but that we didn't get to see two guys at the top of their game for more than one punch.
I want, and very much think he Also deserves, to get the rematch. Even if he can't beat Connor, his 17 fight win streak and mastery of that weight class should allow him the chance to try again.

When all of his bland answers to questions have to be translated, that's not gonna endear you to a primarily English-speaking audience.
I've never got why people don't. He has always been respectful, he is an amazing martial artist and when the UFC finally started marketing him he came across really well (when he was buying that suit it was like watching a child in a candy store).
I get that you think I'm answering my own question but I respect ability and talent over a language barrier and don't get why others can't as well. I do not care if you can't speak my language you speak for yourself in the ring.Doesn't speak English and lacks charisma.

This. Aldo is boring, he showed his true colours when he lost.
the odds were against you anyway. every american champion defends his belt in the USA; at the same time, brazilian champions have defended their belts in the USA more than they did in Brazil. on top of it, the ufc happens to run a few shows in Brazil every year; how shocking is it that they choose a brazilian champion (if there is one) to headline a card in Brazil?
