1/5th the size. Around 63mil. Legit shootings or not, American police killed more people than the UK police in 0.083% of the time, while policing a population 5 times larger.
Well legit is the point of this post, frankly i will stay here in the US i have more freedoms and i have no issues with the police

I'm not acting like they are killing people on every street corner. What I'm acting like is the police are progressively getting more and more aggressive with everyone and the for profit prison system is just fueling it.
Where is the link for the police to feed this for profit system? They are early releasing nonviolent prisoners? You sound like you know the system well lol

These isolated incidents are becoming less and less isolated and are popping up all over the place. How much police abuse was covered up before everyone had a camera in their hand?
You tell me i just told you a real fact of what is really hurting inner city youth, and its not cops. Or guessing what the numbers are. Guess what do the right thing you won't deal with a cop period

Yea I've spent most of my life in and out of the prison system, you could never learn about it by reading.

Police killings highest in two decades
WASHINGTON — The number of felony suspects fatally shot by police last year — 461— was the most in two decades, according to a new FBI report.

The justifiable homicide count, contained in the FBI's annual Uniform Crime Report, has become increasingly scrutinized in recent months as questions continue to be raised about the use of lethal force by law enforcement.
But...

Violent U.S. crime drops again, reaches 1970s level: FBI

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. violent crimes including murders fell 4.4 percent in 2013 to their lowest number since the 1970s, continuing a decades-long downturn, the FBI said on Monday.

The law enforcement agency's annual Crime in the United States report showed the country had an estimated 1.16 million violent crimes last year, the lowest number since 1.09 million were recorded in 1978.

All types of violent crimes were lower, with murder and non-negligent manslaughter off 4.4 percent to 14,196, the lowest figure since 1968. Rape was down 6.3 percent and robbery fell 2.8 percent, the Federal Bureau of Investigation data showed.
So crime is down to 1970's levels, but yet police are killing more people than ever.... Makes sense.

Yes because they are in the bad areas cleaning them up and sometimes criminals get shot. It seems like they're doing a good job. I'd be curios of the last unarmed person to be killed by a cop that didn't have a criminal record.
Well the guy who got shot in the back for running away from the police had outstanding child support owed. That makes him a criminal, so he deserves to die.

So crime down = police killings up? What about people with nonviolent drug offenses, is it OK to kill them because they have a criminal record? I just want to know when it's OK for the cop to be the judge, jury, and executioner and when it's not.

if you keep it mostly full, we'll take care of it. that sounds like the part where they want police to step in.

Didn't say that. It was a response to police shooting going up a overall violence down. Look at the Baltimore stats since the police backed out of the city and stopped patrolling.

You do realize that 99.99999999 percent of police shooting are against someone armed. There is a reason you can name or reference almost every unarmed shooting.

They are patrolling the high crime areas more than ever in history. That is going to lead to more violent confrontations while slowing down local violence. In the millatary are there not some soldiers that serve in the more violent cities that are more likely to kill a civilian?

the truth is that we don't know the info surrounding most police killings. most of them aren't filmed, so we have to take one side of the situations words as fact. there's a local cop where i live, and he's been involved in two deaths, but nobody even knew about it, unless they knew him, or someone effected by it. i don't know if they were justified or not. he was the only one with a story to tell. that's just an example, but we have no clue how many more aren't in the news. it could be zero, but it could also be some huge scary fucking number.

Yes they certainly are, America isn't a war zone though.

And just a little love, but I really like that we can have differing opinions that we all feel strongly about without it turning into "fuck you you're a faggot"

Read the word Ramadi... Instantly had visions of tracers just blanketing the sky like fireworks... Fuck man.
Exactly, as much as we have bad areas in America, we don't have anything close to a war zone.
