They were driving too fast -- maybe because the false security of their winter tires even.Jesus where is this?
Hope there were no fatalities.
Winter tires 4 life son.
There was a crash a few years ago on dartford or Sheppy crossing bridge in uk where 130 cars crashed into the back of each other due to fog. They were driving too fast -- maybe because the false security of their winter tires even.![]()

What are winter tires exactly? Are they those tires with the chains around them? In, before "You don't need winter tires if you know how to drive!" guy shows up.
Goes to show we are not too different from those "stupid" lemmings and sheep that will kill themselves one by one driving themselves off cliffs or out to sea and can't stop as they mindlessly follow the path.
they have a horizontal patter that crosses the road instead of the more efficient with the road pattern of warmer states that are just dealing with waterWhat are winter tires exactly? Are they those tires with the chains around them?
I also read that the rubber is softer on winter tires so they grip the road better. Also that is supposed to be the reason why you should change back into your all seasons after winter because winter tires will wear faster on hot pavement.they have a horizontal patter that crosses the road instead of the more efficient with the road pattern of warmer states that are just dealing with water
siping is a bunch of small razor like cuts horizontally across the rubber on tire surface...this adds even more traction in snow and ice.
Studs are next level and are metal spikes that stick out up to 1/8 inch out of tire to make sure you are griping something for real snowy/icy climates.
I heard that lemmings don' actually do this but yes humans are generally pack animals .Goes to show we are not too different from those "stupid" lemmings and sheep that will kill themselves one by one driving themselves off cliffs or out to sea and can't stop as they mindlessly follow the path.
I hear you. That' really the reality in rush hour traffic. If you leave 3 - 5 car spaces as you should then people will slip in front of you causing you to tap your brake a lot and people behind you getting mad that you are leaving that space so that people keep squeezing into the lane. I will rather move over than deal with that or risk getting into a chain reaction crash. However I have time to drive slower and people don't always have time .There was a crash a few years ago on dartford or Sheppy crossing bridge in uk where 130 cars crashed into the back of each other due to fog.
I have a problem with tailgating but it’s damned if you do damned if you don’t as if you leave even a car lengths room between cars you will have some twat undertake you and slip in front of you. I hate that. When someone tries to undertake me I have to close the distance a bit and then I give the person the finger and motion with my hands “back of the line asshole”.......up to this point no one has had the balls to call me out on it but that’s most likely because I look like I’m going to kill them while doing it......because they are going to kill someone driving like that
They're made out of a softer compound that stays pliable at lower temperatures to grip the cold asphalt. They also have more sipes to divert snow into the treads of the tires, they're also typically designed to have narrower tread to help cut through the snow rather than sit on top of it. In terms that will seem more like English, it's like a mud tire scaled down for cars. What are winter tires exactly? Are they those tires with the chains around them?

Not really sure how honking would help?Fucking hell what a pileup...
that's why people should honk as well in situations like this..but i guess this probably caught everyone offguard
You can hear a horn from afar, whereas it looks like they can't see over 5 meters ahead..if they hear a horn closing in on them(=them closing in on it) any sensible person would at least be cautioned that something is coming up aheadNot really sure how honking would help?
