Interesting we have an armed person who engaged the shooter after 50+ people were shot/injured. I'm guessing he wasn't a church parishioner.
Obviously I'm not familiar with that specific church, but typically they'd be "Gun free zones"Interesting we have an armed person who engaged the shooter after 50+ people were shot/injured. I'm guessing he wasn't a church parishioner.
Same reason they happen in places where everyone doesn't pack heat. Because some people are just fucking assholes.I thought everyone packed heat in texas how do mass shootings still happen there?
Pretty much summed it up here.Same reason they happen in places where everyone doesn't pack heat. Because some people are just fucking assholes.
No one packs here, and we had a mass shooting in a mosque over the winter. No one packs in France and some dipshit mowed down people with a cube van. No one packs in the U.K. and they had a bombing at a concert. Unfortunately, assholes are unavoidable.Pretty much summed it up here.
What shits me up more than people packing is people with obvious mental issues copycatting. This could be replicated next Sunday because some twat's admired what happened today. No one packs here, and we had a mass shooting in a mosque over the winter. Fully agree, but no one wants to spend anytime on mental illness. We want to blame victims, inanimate objects, religions and everything else under the sun, but no one wants to look in the mirror and acknowledge that they're the problem. What shits me up more than people packing is people with obvious mental issues copycatting. The mental health bill is a non issue now apparently much the same as what will soon be over population because of a lack of birth control. I could rant for days about the decisions in the White House but it’s best I wind my neck in.Fully agree, but no one wants to spend anytime on mental illness. Those things have never been a priority and have little to do with the current administration. The mental health bill is a non issue now apparently much the same as what will soon be over population because of a lack of birth control.
It makes me sick that some people treat each other the way they do.I just came in and wanted to post that I'm getting away with myself. What happened today was a disgrace, me getting all angsty about other issues has no place.
You're alright though, Beard. Just don't go playing a hero the next time anything like this goes down like that bloke in the video did.It makes me sick that some people treat each other the way they do.
Based on past performance, I'm more inclined to "fight" rather than "flight" but you never know until you're in that specific position. You're alright though, Beard. Just don't go playing a hero the next time anything like this goes down like that bloke in the video did.
Sadly, any large public gathering place will always be a security concern.Such horrible news. Seems like you can't go out anywhere anymore without the risk of something like this happening. Makes me worry about my kids going to school, going to a concert, going anywhere.
I always hope I'd be the fight person and in general I get stuck in if there's a fight of some sort (much to my detriment) but if mass murder guns are involved I know I'd be a complete coward.Based on past performance, I'm more inclined to "fight" rather than "flight" but you never know until you're in that specific position.
Oh dear, I read radical as racial then. I was about to go off on one again. What does it take for some radical policy change in the USA?
There is a disease of the mind that cannot be changed by policy.Surely at some point sending 'love and prayers' tweets etc isn't enough, tbh it was never enough just a coping mechanism, until change is made. but changes to policy are never made, not real changes anyway, just enough to appease. As a brit standing on the outside, i've found this continued negligence from american policymakers utterly disturbing. And yet, the british reaction to hearing about another mass shooting in the US, is 'ehh it's america, what do you expect'....and i really wish it wasn't like that.
