Why is breaking up a fight such a great thing to do ?
A) Fighting isn't a great example to set for those kids. Adults solve most of their problems with their words rather than their fists. The other adults there should have stopped them. Fists are a last resort, and as you said, I didn't see either of them smash a beer bottle and try to stab the broken remainder in the other lady's face or liver or anything.
B) Actual adults how to control their emotions.
C) People that aren't involved shouldn't be emotional over it anyway. Making a good decision shouldn't be difficult.
D) Adults get arrested for that. It is called assault. You may not think it is that big of a deal, but the law disagrees with you. Typically, a crime is crime in the eyes of the law.
E) This isn't a combat sport. They are attacking each other in the middle of children. They are big enough to hurt a kid while they are focusing on themselves rather than their kids.
That said, I thought it was funny they sat there and recorded it rather than step in and stop it. It is still a bad idea rather than an internet video though.
