As debuts of heavily hyped MMA prospects go, they don’t get much worse than Aaron Pico.

The good news, though, is that the 20-year-old Bellator lightweight will have a chance to make up for it sooner than later.

Bellator President Scott Coker told ESPN today that Pico (0-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) has been tabbed to fight on the main card of Bellator 183, which takes place Sept. 23 at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., and airs on Spike. An opponent for Pico is still in the process of being finalized.

They really fucked up giving pico just a big and seasoned fighter as his debut.

Sap is another big show. They should really give him a super easy bounce back fight. Anyone in mind? Fuxk it give him that guy Anthony Taylor from AJ's camp. Pico needs confidence boost bad

I'm typically all for guys testing themselves, but I think you're right here. As bad as the debut was, 0-2 would be a lot worse.

That's why I'm going. The card is secondary.
Staying at Hyatt place this time. Text me if you want our seat numbers. I'm sure you can call and get seats right next to mine.

You have your TMMAC press credentials yet?

Also, it's cute that you and sparkuri @sparkuri plan your dates here for all to see. It warms my heart that gay men are so openly accepted now.

This card is shaping up nicely. I think having Thomson(if he's cleared) and piccolotti on the card are both safe bets. If Thomson is under medical suspension due to the pitbull ko, then they could throw mayday McDonald on this card.

It better be a 5 fight card

don't be fooled, mmahawk pretends to be a nice guy on here, but you do not want to be on his bad side.....and calling him out like this will get you bitch slapped if he ever sees you.

I think we can get them. Till the end of this year I'm pretty much going as a fan. Any flights I take pay or use points a homie comes with me for free. They pay my hotel share, they get free travel and the trip costs me pennies on the dollar. That expires in January. That's why this has been such an eventful year. Starting next year I plan to attend more as a "job". It's a much different event as media as opposed to a fan. Since I'm going to be there for the weigh ins We may apply so I can go through the routine and see how Bellator does things.

I do plan on covering EBI 11 on July 30th in LA as long as we are approved.

Wouldn't mind Freeman vs Thompson. It's also a combined event with Bellator kickboxing so definitely curious how both cards shake out.

Hawks gotta eat too. I've seen them take fish out of the water, mice in the woods, and a squirrel off my fence.

Dam completely forgot that's this is a hybrid show. Solid. Daniels is always fun, but ghajji is no joke.

Freeman a Thomson would be fun for sure. Thomson also trains with pico, so u could sell it through the "avenge my team partner" angle.

24 seconds of dominance should always get you on a main card.

They should cut him for sure. I don't know how the fuk he has a name for himself, but that last fight was pathetic and embarrassing as hell and I sure as shit don't want to have my time wasted with him on a sloppy main card.
Get out there on the minor shows with fellow inexperienced fighters and build up some experience and momentum first if you want to win titles and fans.

I prefer the Fab 5 to stay on the prelims until they can prove they are ready for the bellator comp.

Can you write these off on your taxes as a business expense? That would be awesome!

They must have little time booked for main event, so they want him to go get knocked out again

He'll run thru this opponent, string some victories together as he continues to develop, and be a nightmare in a couple of years. Still think he will be champion in the next 2-3 years, but Aaron needs to be fighting at FW in my opinion. Still not sure why he debuted at LW. Hope this one is at 145.
