Lol, remember when he got a cease and desist when he was ripping off pictures from a real estate company in the area and posting them like they were his own.
I dont remember if that was before or after his wife and he stole toilet paper from the country club... lol

No. I missed that.

PJ threads were ones that I skipped regularly as I just couldn't get through whatever was being spewed.

Don't roll with "kids" for a while, any guy that walks in and says I used to train will have a target and young guys with rubber tendons will try you. And you're a big target. It'll be some 135er most likely lol.
That happened to me, we had a lot of LEO and military in my class, was rolling with a new guy from the guard and he tried putting a knee bar on me, which was not allowed below purple, I told him to let it go, he kept cranking, I rolled out and starting applying a collar choke on him very slowly, I told him, I own a restaurant and on my feet every day, you fuck up my knee, I will fuck you up. If you want to go Vale Tudo, we will, stay away from my knees. I let it go before he passed out and never rolled with him again.

I lucked into a great situation as far as that goes.

The place I'm going to is private and pretty strict on having the 'right' type of people allowed to train.

From the white belts to the black belts, everyone is great at matching intensity instead of going balls to the wall unless thats the actual focus.

Happened to me in Boise at Mitch Coates gym. Very aggressive purple went ham when it was his turn. We weren't even rolling, just supposed to drill for a few and switch partners again. He immediately started ramping up on me and I was just trying to get through the rotation. I swept him and was about to tell him to calm the fuck down when he jammed a thumb into my thigh (didn't expect that lol) and reversed into side control. On a wild scramble/pass attempt he dropped full body weight knee to my ribs. Crack, and I knew it. It was about another 30 seconds and that rotation was done.
I grabbed my shit and bounced.
Nice gym full of pretty good but overly competitive guys.

There was no need to go that hard in drills and that guy had been eyeing me for the entire time before. I remember him making sure he was close to me on the mat so we'd have at least a couple minutes with each other. I figured Mitch told him to check me out so I didn't think much about other than "yeah, thats how it works sometimes". In my mind we were probably going to have a hard roll after class in open mat. Never occurred to me he'd go for the belt the first time we made contact.

Every gym is different

You mean Detroit real estate?
I actually really enjoyed those threads

funny thing, he was told and suggested numerous times he should get into selling real estate, because he did have a knack for it and seemed like he enjoyed it

of course because he was a real ball of fire, he was like, Nah

actually Im sure it was suggested to do that in his off season, seemed reasonable for someone on unemployment, but I guess he was too busy smoking weed

You mean a bullshitter? He'd be a perfect fit.
'And this is the master bedroom... the door can easily be remove and replaced with fart curtains. And check out the spacious backyard. I'd recommend adding a dog door so your kitten can enjoy the moonlight. Disregard the hawks in the area.'

could probably easily do it with AI now
Opening credits can be the video of his running form that he posted, him running to the camera. Closing credits of him running away from the camera.

I look forward to the very special wookie suit episode. And the hot tub in the garage episode. Actually, it could be quite the sitcom.

Don't forget the gas powered bicycle, all the juggalo shit, swearing his roommate was growing weed when it was him all along, his porch his friend helped him fix... tbh every episode could be a very special episode.

Don't forget a thank you for his service.

Peej would make an awful real estate agent even at 100% focus. He would kill it at selling grave plots, though.

Yeah, why I stepped away for a while. We were all white belts training under a purple In a Gracie Barra gym.

I was 35 at the time and was older then everyone there by at least 15 years. But I had all my wresting background and could control everyone very easily. The young bucks were constantly trying to test themselves against me, even in a simple drill/roll.

I went out to grab a drink of water and heard one of the kids say to another, did you see what I did to kvr, got him in a rear naked choke. I'm thinking, yeah, we were drilling, I allowed that to happen.

The vibe was just off at the time and talked to the instructor and said I am gonna walk away for awhile. He was upset, he wanted me to start a satellite school under him. He's now a 2 stripe black belt and is still a good friend of mine. We talk frequently and I do drop ins often.

other issue was we had Marcus Davis's gym, team Irish a mile away. They would train MMA from 4 to 6 and then come over to train BJJ and still thought they were training MMA. I rolled with Dale Hartt who fought Corey Hill (RIP) who snapped his leg with that low kick.

I was just looking for a roll and I had a cup shoved into my spine nonstop and multiple cross faces, yep, I'm good.

Anyone?

I just started back up after like a 12 year hiatus. I was only a blue belt and this is completely starting from scratch. The years of powerlifting COMPLETELY destroyed my mobility.

Any tips from you AARP members that got back a respectable game?
Just started back up after about a decade off. 54 year old blue belt. I have been doing a lot of kettlebell work over the years so my cardio was pretty decent, lost a fair amount of flexibility.
