Logan Storley is set to make his main card debut at Bellator 197.

The four-time NCAA All-American wrestler looks for his third Bellator win in as many appearances when he fights Joaquin Buckley in a welterweight bout on April 13 at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo., officials told MMA Fighting on Thursday. This matchup completes the main card.

Storley has been victorious in both of his Bellator appearances. At Bellator 186last November, he defeated Matt Secor by unanimous decision to improve to 8-0 as a professional. The 25-year-old signed with Bellator last June after an outstanding collegiate wrestling career at the University of Minnesota and an undefeated run in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance/Legacy Fighting Alliance promotion.

Fighting out of St. Louis, Mo., Buckley (8-1) has quietly put together a solid resume with Bellator, winning three of his four fights for the organization. He has won his last two, a split decision nod over Vinicius DeJesus and a unanimous decision win over Justin Patterson.

In the main event of Bellator 197, Brent Primus defends his lightweight championship in a rematch against Michael Chandler.

See the completed four-bout main card below:

Brent Primus vs. Michael Chandler
A.J. McKee vs. Justin Lawrence
Kevin “Baby Slice” Ferguson Jr. vs. Devon Brock

quality event

I have:

chandler
McKee
Baby Slice
Storley

now watch mma casuals go from "lmfao, bellator should focus on building their own talent instead of buying up ufc cast offs. bellator gon' bellator." to "lmfao, weak card with no name value. bellator gon' bellator"

Storley quietly working his way up the ladder. Could easily see him fighting for the title within a year.

i agree, but the problem with bellator is that guys like storley dont have the name value. they need him to fight on the main card a couple of times to build a name. bellator honestly needs to do something with their prelims. guys build win streaks on the prelims, but dont have a name because what? 50k people watch the prelims?

bellator needs to do something with the prelims

They (Paramount Network) should be begging Bellator for their prelims. Countdown shows, highlight videos, behind the scenes shows, etc. If you want to establish yourself as a name in MMA, show the world you're invested.

my opinion is that they should get the better fights from the prelim events, create a one hour show and replace some lat night informercials with them, but the demographics are probably different lol. idk they need to do something. shoulder programming for sure. upload them on youtube or something. bellator should honestly upload alot of their prelims on youtube.

He's a beast. And this is a quality card. Every fight should be exciting.

Chandler (tough fight to call but I'll take Chandler in the rematch)
A.J. McKee
Ferguson Jr.
Storley
