You miss all the action reading the movie. I loved Chernobyl, Dark, etc but you even miss the actors expressions just watching the bottom of the screen.

I'm with you. Its hard to be immersed when you are starting at the bottom 1/8 of the screen.

The only subtitled movie I've ever watched and forgot I was reading subtitles was Mongol, because it was just so good.

To be fair - audiobooks are outstanding for long rucks.

And "produced" audiobooks that are voice acted, with sound effects, etc are often more entertaining that most of the dogshit tv shows & movies out there.

I need to watch that. Apocalypto is great as well. The writing is top notch though. The "almost" line made me hate that engine dude so much.
