Wayne fucking Messmer. After that I can't believe the original madhouse on madison, Chicago stadium for you outliers, didn't collapse.

The video doesn't do it justice. Messmer in Chicago Stadium was incredible, every time. Many times do people say "the place was rocking". It's never been more true than Wayne finishing the national anthem. It was probably a contributing factor to building the United Center.

My first Hawks game was vs. the Hartford Whalers. I was told how awesome the Anthem was going to be. I was like "that's before the game, right?"

"Just wait"

Not disappointed.
