You do know these guys are from Florida right and how hard would it be to forge a timestamp on a photo.
Knew it was florida
I know forging a timestamp is possible...but there are ways to timestamp(todays newspaper if they still exist)

what is wrong with bringing in the head only?
What extra research needs to be done in a lab?

I don't really care, just was thinking if all Pythons needed to be hauled back to a lab it was a waste of time/resources or just overkill.

If you kill them how is it more of a waste of time or resources to bring the whole thing in? I imagine proper disposal cuts down on risks of disease. Imagine hitting the motherload of pythons and leaving 100 dead snake bodies laying around.

what disease?
I was thinking the swamp would eat that thing up in hours...I mean it is full of Gators and scavengers
U toss that thing in the water and it won't last long at all...rotten smells good to gators and rotten is all over in nature, but not for long

but again I don't really care...just was pondering it....didn't see a need to drive every one to a lab

U win I lose....u smart me dumb

I bow to the superior intellect :)

Its just discussion. If people were honest your idea would be great but unfortunately its too easy to be dishonest.

I know it's just discussion...I was just spitballing
no feathers ruffled...you asked great questions

just read the link and they get paid by the foot$25 per extra foot after 4 feet long so makes sense.

they are also on GPS tracking while on the job, and subject to criminal background checks

only 25 hunters in program...I wonder if opening it up to public would help eliminate more pythons

But the fact is that they are gonna be there to stay.

Interesting fact is that they are required to kill them in the field to receive compensation, firearm is what they are supposed to use

Maybe those two dudes in OP video are not in the program and just freelancers?

Because apparently most people are illiterate and can't click/read the link I posted on the previous page, I'll go over how these snake hunters make money:

- minimum wage (movement tracked by GPS so the authorities know if they're at home or really hunting), up to 8 hours a day

- $50 per python caught that measures up to 4 feet, with $25 for each additional foot:

SNAKES MUST BE KILLED HUMANELY BEFORE BEING BROUGHT IN. NO LIVE SNAKES WILL BE MEASURED BY OFFICIALS.

- an extra $200 for a snake guarding a nest of eggs

- after officials measure the snake's length and pay the hunters, hunters are free to do whatever they want with the snake. NO ONE THROWS THE DEAD SNAKE BACK INTO THE SWAMP BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE FUCKING STUPID. Most hunters sell the snake skin to local leather/skin traders, who use it to make clothing, boots, and other items.

To kill a snake humanely, you have to kill it in one blow.

Firearms may be used for this purpose.

$6000 DOLLARS MAXIMUM COMPENSATION
150,000 TOTAL PAYOUT FOR THE 25 HUNTERS

NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO MAKE A DENT IMO
