According to Dave Meltzer, the reason for no fight announcement is Brock is not signed.
He can't until after SummerSlam officially, but officially WWE does not allow contracted performers on an MMA PPV without permission.

Can you imagine if Brock goes back to WWE & did all this just to make WWE pay more?

Holy shit will UFC look bad.

It will be a last second signing and if he doesn’t fight I don’t care tbh

I don't see anyway he doesn't piss hot, so as much as DC wants it, I think they need to have a backup fight ready.

He is doing everything he can to duck Ronda. She signs with the UFC, he leaves for the WWE. She signs with the WWE, he leaves for the UFC. This cannot just be a coincidence...

Does he have to be officially signed to get back in the testing pool? If not, Is there a way to know if he has been put back in the pool? That would be a good indication of how serious he is.

USADA confirms Brock Lesnar has begun process to get back in drug-testing pool

The USADA spokesperson was not able to go into detail as to what Lesnar has done so far regarding beginning the process

So not really sure what that means.

He can't fight until Jan 8th anyway.

im no steroid expert here but how the hell can you do 20 years of steroids and go off the sauce for a couple months and be considered clean ? it might not be in your piss but the muscle mass that was cultivated over 20 years is still mostly there . i dont expect to see brock looking like dad bod vitor when he steps into the ring

the ufc is at a seriously weird crossroads right now. rankings mean nothing ,titles are worthless, interim titles can be stripped or awarded at will .the actual sport aspect is near gone but they are clinging to usada like it brings some kind of legitimacy . the ufc lost its budo a long time ago .there is very little traditional martial arts values or respect left. the quiet warrior gets passed over for the disrespectful prick. they need to either clean it up as a whole(never gonna happen) or go full pride fc and allow steroids and stop pretending they are something that they are not

there's too many people trying to steer the ship. it worked as a smaller organization. it's just too big to change now & will slowly & painfully continue to deteriorate.

they've lost touch with the fans

What... This doesn't make any sense, Frankie bud.

This is just like the Andrea Lee situation when she was signed.

He has to COMPLETE the 6-months back in the pool before they can book something. That's the whole point of it. His suspension from the 200 failure is already over.

I'm pretty sure he is signed already otherwise they wouldn't be able to test him... Not like he was released after his last fight or anything. And like always, contracts "freeze" when fighters retire. For examole, Schaub is still technically under UFC contract.

He was only signed to that fight though.
That was part of WWE allowing him that one fight since he was under WWE contract & UFC had to give Vince concessions.
They don't know (unless he re-signs with WWE)

I don't think you have to be signed to test though

No it isn't
He had 6 months & 2 or 3 days left (I forget which) to serve to USADA
He re-signed a few days short of 6 months into his suspension

Whats up man?

Would have to ask Dim to be totally sure I guess but that doesn't make sense to me for non-signed fighters to be testing.

Correct. But once he comes out of retirement, that time has already passed anyway so it doesn't really matter and just goes away. Because it goes from the date of when the failure was. Which is why JDS was able to come back so quickly to fight Ivanov after getting his issue resolved.

Nothin' really. Gonna go to bed here soon, lol.

Unless Brock & Vince came to a last minute agreement, he can sign the bout agreement on Tuesday to fight DC

They’ve definitely lost touch with the hardcores that kept them afloat until they could make it big.

Its typical actually
When you try to build you cater to a specific audience.
Once you get to a certain status, you go for the bigger audience.
