I started using THC tincture two years ago due to insomnia. I’ve used a multitude of sleep medications over the years and hate the side effects and the “hangover” in the morning. Prior to this I have never used THC products. I use the RSO mixed with MCT oil as a carrier as my tincture. I rarely drink, don’t smoke and try to eat healthy. I’m in good shape-57 years old, 6-01 and a lean 220 pounds. I do have Gulf War Syndrome from a multitude of chemical exposures from my time in the USMC. The GWS, now called Chronic Multi Symptom Illness by the VA, can be pretty brutal at times. Chronic pain, intestinal issues, insomnia and other issues. Best way to describe this is that I have a bad case of the flu that never ends. Not complaining here, just giving some background. I have blood work done every three months so that I can stay ahead of issues and know what to take to try and mitigate as much as possible with supplements and hormones. I take no pain meds, only maintenance meds for blood pressure. An inflammation marker in the blood, C-Reactive Protein, is a general marker for inflammation in the body. It doesn’t say what is causing it. The higher the number, the more inflammation. Normal is under 1, an indicator for heart disease is around 10, and lupus and other inflammatory diseases run around 15. Mine has always been 50 and higher, with my highest being 86. My doctor said it was the highest he had ever seen. Since taking the THC tincture, that CRP number has steadily been dropping. My last blood test showed the CRP under 1. First time in 25 years it’s been normal. My pain levels are way down. Pretty remarkable what has happened. I sleep like a baby, wake up with no lingering effects like with prescribed sleep medications and my pain levels are the lowest they have been in a LONG time. My workouts are better, my head is clearer because I’m not spending so much brain power ( and I don’t have much) dealing with the pain. I only take the THC tincture at night. I don’t care anything about being high, I only use it for sleep. THC for me, and I know everyone is different, has been a life changer. I think if used correctly and as a medicine there are benefits. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Sorry for the long post
I love to hear stories like this. I was involved with medical MJ recommendations in a clinical setting and heard nothing but positive things from patients. In fact, one of their testimonials is what led me to try eating it for gastro relief. Changed by bum life, again.

I was going to a jujitsu class in Waltham MA shortly after ufc1 most days as soon as you walked in the place it reeked of weed, sometimes during warm up the owner would hand us over to a high rank and say “you warm them up I’ll be right back” within 5min the place reeked then after maybe 15 min he’d show back up and take over class

someone above said there’s a time and place for everything I agree
Used to train with a guy that literally smelled like bongwater, consistently.

After a few weeks of just dealing I finally told him that I wouldn't drill or roll with him anymore. I tried to explain etiquette, hygiene, and having respect for your training partners but he just took it personally and got butthurt about it.

Ive rolled with tons of guys that clearly burned in the way to training, slightly annoying but whatever... at least their gi was clean and their nails were short.
This guy was just gross and I was amazed that I was the first guy to ever say anything to him.

It was genuinely gross.

Good job destroying my argument.

I don’t know how many people smoke pot for their “anxiety” only to stop pot and realize their anxiety was probably withdrawal every day from being a pothead. Marijuana helps you when you are high but can cause anxiety once that high wears off. Not for everybody but their is a good subset of the population that their marijuana use is counterproductive for treating their anxiety.

I've seen it worsen depression too.

As far as my anxiety, I was well into adulthood, stone cold sober, before I bought some off the dark web to see if it would help. It did for me, and it has for millions of others, which is why the psuedo-legal cannabis market is raking in billions per year. It's going to explode as soon as the federal government gets out of the way.

Ideally, I'd be able to buy the shit from 7/11 along with a 12-pack if I so choose. Either ban it all, or be sensible about what is allowed and what's not.

Only noticeable deficit for me is word recall. If I power through it it comes to me. That's only while I'm actively high though. Next day at work I'm right as rain, firing on all cylinders.

My daughter was using weed to help her anxiety until she ate a strong gummy and ended up in the ER because of a massive panic attack, she hasn't touched it since.

She was laying in the gurney and asked me if she was going to die.

No baby girl, your fine, just super stoned.

Well what if my heart stops and they have to paddle me.

Your heart is not going to stop baby girl.

Well if they do are my nipples going to explode off my chest since they are pierced.

The doctor had to walk out of the room.

That was the night I found out my daughter has pierced nipples. FML.

I enjoyed it when I would smoke. Problem was, I was good while i was high but the next day I felt like shit because it fucked with my sleep and over a couple of months made my depression worse.

I tried a strain called Green Krack and it was super motivating. I would use it before the gym and it would make me get up and interact with my kids more but like I said, terrible fucking sleep. I will sometimes try different strains for sleep though.

the other day I ate one when I woke up in the middle of the night. I guess it was later than I realized because I woke up blazed out of my mind. I showed up to work and my boss was like, “dude, you look like a wreck, fix your collar.” lol. The first two hours were interesting to say the least but it wore off and I was good.

I am totally pro legalizing. I want some gummies without dealing with Wholio. I've been spending too much time buying from a barrio paradise.

Green Krack is a sativa and winds me up in the wrong direction. Strains like that make me anxious and unable to focus. Indica is more my jam. That's the stuff that'll put you into a deep sleep. And fast.

Everyone has a slightly different metabolism, just like whiskey makes some people more fighty than others and gin makes some people sleepier than others. Yes, there's underlying psychology as well for some people. Pot can absolutely bring schizophrenia to the surface in people that are more genetically prone to it and true depressives tend to get worse not better. Others are highly productive and just can't understand why it doesn't hit others the same way.
