Absolute icon. Enjoy, bro
thanks man. She was awesome. 70 however old she is and still sounds amazing. Only thing that was ridiculous was her tribute to “stand with Ukraine” and 90% of the audience, who couldn’t pick out Ukraine on a map, screaming “dErr!!! Yes!!! You’re right Stevie!!”. Programmed robots. But the concert itself was bucket list. She’s a legend.

I picked up two tickets to Travis Tritt in Nov. He's playing a smaller venue that I love here in Louisville.

Got the motherfuckin Old 97s on Sunday. So pumped.

I'm bringing my guitar. If they don't play the song "Nashville" I will play it outside the venue immediately after the show.

it did show Jen's ass if I remember correctly. So I'll give it props for that.
And it had Pyle from Full Metal Jacket in it too.

Totally forgot about...

Tommy Emmanuel in October
Holy shit. Dude absolutely killed it.

I've seen a ton of great guitarist over the years. Eddie Van Halen. Nuno Bettencourt. Eric Johnson. Steve Miller. Luther Dickinson. Buddy Guy.
I 100% put Tommy up there with all of them. Absolutely amazing.

He played this one. Getting sounds out of an acoustic that are simply remarkable.

And of course the song he has simply mastered better than any other guitarist ever has on the planet.
Classical Gas. He mixed this one in during a Beatles medley but I instantly spotted it.

He only sang on 2 songs. The rest were all instrumentals. The majority of the show he played standing up, but when he sat down you knew shit was about to get real.

Highly recommend if he you ever get a chance to see him. Blown away.

Life has been hectic as shit lately so I didn't pay any mind to who the opening act was. I had no clue.

Larry Fucking Campbell

Dude played with Dylan from mid-90s to 2004. He's recorded with Levon Helm, Paul Simon, BB King, Willie, Little Feet, Hot Tuna, The Black Crowes, Whitey Morgan and the 78s.

Dude was awesome. And his wife (Teresa Williams) has a great voice.

Here's him showing off his licks...

I don't record during events because I'm too busy taking it in, but here's a video from the same tour from a few months ago. After Tommy got done with his main set he brought Larry and Teresa back out to play together on a couple tunes. They started with Ashokan Farewell where Larry played violin, then they did this number "Everybody Loves You" which was decidedly more upbeat and fun...

That sounded like "Gloria" by Laura Branigan he snuck in there. Seamless transition.

Did you ever watch that chick Gabrielle Quevedo who did Classical Gas at 15 yo, 2 years after she first picked up a guitar.
Her father plays, but she's on her way to all-world status.

My wife picked up (8) tickets to Old Dominion at The Yum in Louisville for $31/ticket and that’s with the fees. Concert is Dec 14th. Going with three neighbor couples.
This concert was fantastic. Old Dominion put on a great show and we had a blast.

Just bought two tickets for ZZ Top & Skynyrd on 4/12 and Styx on July 26th.

Yeah we're boomers...sue me.

Heading out To Red Rocks in Colorado later this year for a Turmpike Troubadours show. Opening act is Red Clay Strays so that's a fucking win.

I wanted to see cypress hill perform there but I couldn't get time off to fly to colorado which a surprisingly cheap flight from LAX. Love the beer culture in Colorado. Great food too. The altitude messed with me a little last time I went.
