yep, the post was by the forum member 'Charles Barkley', so Hocky had a giant Charles Barkley head next to the 'wild each it' sign.

It's good that Wild has shortened his name here, as it's gone from a seemingly non-sequitur reference to another forum to a frighteningly accurate descriptor of a truly untamed individual at the helm of this site.

some dude from the UG helped raise my money for my nephews kidney transplant by selling a bunch of these shirts. thats a solid memory of that shithole

Lol I was way off. I do remember those threads but there was another thread about Wanderlei’s rant.

Either it was when he had beef with Chael or when Wandy ran from USADA? But his rant was in Portugese and when someone google translated, it said something like “cock balls cock nuts”, something ridiculous but funny.

For some reason, those two different threads were combined into one in my head

Frankly I’m stunned that Wild @Wild has not stopped in this thread and posted about how “I don’t want to talk shit about the UG but”, followed by a nine paragraph rant. There’s still time I guess.

I had basically become and only UG guy for a few years and tried to fight the good fight as that forum was slowly overrun by paid schills and trolls. Eventually it became pointless, the mma scene really chaned to a UFC only scene and the UG reflected that in spades and was just unbearable. Someone invited me over so I signed up, posted a little while longer in the UG and then left forever to post exclusively here.

The appeal of early Sherdog and then the UG was that it was truly at the center of the sport where u could discuss things with pro fighters, joe rogan, actually influence things that happened in the UFC, witness crazy shit like the Kimbo/Boston Cop fight live, etc. It was a small sport and the UG was the place where u could be at the center of things and I made a bunch of great contacts, got to discuss things with Commissioners, refs, judges etc.
