For the amount of money that cyborg would get, I would cut from 220 to strawweight.

Exactly, or id die trying. Does uncle Dana believe his own bullshit? If he gave her .50 cents per PPV @2.5 million buys. She would be ready to weigh in within 12 weeks. Having stood next to her before I dont see how the hell she can make 135. Id love to see it though

It won't happen this year, so meh.

Why entertain these stupid notions?
Ronda's a girl fighter who's interesting for 30 seconds every 6 months against anyone NOT named Cyborg.

1 million, 1.5, 2,3,4....a quadrillion....

When is Fedor coming back?

How is it that hundreds of other fighters can drop multiple weight classes, drop 30+ lbs but somehow Cyborg can't drop 5-10 pounds. Its ridiculous.

If she's not going to attempt to make 135 she needs to stop talking.

i'd rather Dana AND Ronda stop talking and step up to a catchweight 140. Ronda doesn't need to do this but if she's serious about cementing a legacy then fighting Cyborg will greatly help her cause. I'm bored of the talk, I couldn't give a shit what Ronda thinks of Cyborg now, sure, she's a lovely girl to her friends, comes across as approachable to fans but by god, she has zero class. And it sells, so it doesn't matter. I've always admired fighters who can shake hands after and both acknowledge and respect an opponent. I don't see that with Ronda, I see a petulant girl driven by her mothers obsession but also see a phenomenal athlete who will go down as one of the greatest in one of the shallowest divisions in MMA. Ronda is undeniable great, but I won't be doing a rogan and cry over it anytime soon.

Funny how multiple fighters can climb weight classes as well, isn't it?

nor go down ;)

They do when they are the challenger coming into the UFC for their first fight. I think many champs outside the UFC would jump at the chance to drop a weight class for a title shot. Really though, I dont care what weight it happens at. I just want to see it happen. Santos would have to lose alot more than 10-15 lbs. shes frickin huge.

I haven't seen many come from different organizations that debut at a lower weight class.

Ronda's legacy is already cemented. Cyborg is the one who needs the fight. If Cyborg doesn't beat Ronda she'll fade away and be forgotten. Cyborg needs to prove she deserves to be in the same conversation as Ronda and so far she hasn't taken that challenge.

How many 145ers if given a guaranteed title shot against Ronda at 135 wouldn't at least TRY to cut weight? I can only think of one.

do you really think Zuffa really wants this fight to take place? Really? For that 1 pay day? What happens if RR loses? Then what? Can Santos fight at 135 every time out to defend her belt? That would be hard. Is she marketable here in the US? Imagine the slander campain her opponents would come up with. It would be a PR nightmare. They are breaking numbers right now with every RR fight. Why rock the boat? And why are we so concerned about this fight? Imagin all this talk about a male 170lb fighter and all the what ifs compared to a 155lber. It doesnt happen. What is so interesting about this?
