I would love to know what Aldean saw/heard or was told through his earpiece before he bolted off stage without a word of warning to any of his fans who were getting gunned down. I don't want to be soft or politically correct about this. Other men would have at least come back to help the wounded. But not that particular "man".
This statement reeks of delusion.

He realized he was being shot at, and bailed. For all he knew at the time it was someone targeting him specifically. The guy has a 1 month old baby at home, starts taking machine gun fire and you blame him for not hanging around in a situation where he's unequipped to help anybody anyways?

It'd be great if there were some heroic tale, but to judge people's actions in a situation like that is a dog shit move.

Or they're just his initials.
I like it

stage name? appears it is....so he did choose the name....doesn't prove anything but that tattoo is gay either way

Aldean changed his name on the suggestion of Monte C. Willis, a music consultant hired by Barry Williams.[citation needed] "There was an artist named Jason D. Williams performing all over Nashville at the time and I felt like there would be a lot of confusion, so I called Barry and suggested the name change. Really, not an easy thing to suggest to a father, but ultimately it worked out well". Monte Willis said, "In order to stand out, he changed the spelling of his middle name, Aldine, to come up with the name Aldean."[5]

A lot of people get tattoos of stage names, nicknames, etc doesn't mean Illuminati. The biggest evidence against that would be "Why take fire if you were in on it?"

never said anything other than he has the illuminati cards from a remarkable card game as a tattoo...If you don't know the card game then look into it then get back at me.

words are just words...no reason to freak out....I don't even know who jason aldean is...never heard a single song

Everybody there was unequiped to help anybody. When it's a situation where you are the one everybody is paying attention to and looking to you as some kind of leader, on some level you are responsible for them. I get that he probably thought he was the target. He could have shouted something, anything. And he could have helped afterwards, as so many others did.

There's a couple problems with your logic. 1) More likely than not him running back out to help would have hindered rescue efforts as people love to drop what they're doing in order to get close to a celebrity. 2) You're also completely ignoring that everyone there thought there was multiple shooters, so running back out there wouldn't have seemed wise to anyone. It's nice for people to think they'd be a hero in that type of scenario, but it's incredibly arrogant to judge someone for "not doing enough"

I have a hard time believing that anybody would have cared about his celebrity status, had he gone back.

Whether he was told not to go back by police or some other authority, I have no idea.

As I said before, I would love to know what he heard/saw or was told in his earpiece before he bolted. If he knew that bullets were indeed flying then I absolutely judge him for saying nothing to warn his fans.

Of course you do. It's easy to do it from the comfort of your home.
Lol, I thought you might eventually go there. I actually have been in a fair number of bad situations, specifically as a bouncer in a pretty rough club, where I did have to step up and put myself at risk to protect others. So stop acting like nobody would ever possibly do the right thing, like say screaming out a warning that there is a fucking gunman out there.

The right thing? Apparently, he was running back to his pregnant wife. How dare he.

I like trying to equate bouncing with taking machine gun fire though. That's a nice touch.

Which point? The one where you try equate taking a job where you're knowingly endangering yourself with being a musician?
And a hell of a musician he is. He is a musician who won't back down. Except when he's fleeing, without a word of warning to save others.

I think I know why you're defending him so hard. I think it's because you would have done the exact same thing, and want to rationalize it as being okay.

Would my pregnant wife be my #1 priority? No question. I'm shocked anyone would even have to think twice about that.

Human nature is self survival, I cannot fault Aldean in that confusing situation for reacting like he did..... He's not a LEO, he's not a soldier, he's not a first responder...... He's a musician. He ran to his wife, his first thoughts were obviously self survival, then safe his wife.... I can't fault a guy for that because that is exactly what most people would do in that very same scenario.

As for the gripe Dana has.... Fuck Dana, Jason Aldean wasn't booked for that event prior, Dana was just trying to bring a higher profile to the event this weekend. Dana is acting all shook because he's from Vegas, but he wasn't the guy on the stage when the shots were fired. The article says that Jason's MANAGEMENT said that he wouldn't play any time soon, it wasn't Jason directly. I can tell you coming from entertainment (specifically the music industry) that my former management would do things that they felt were in our best interests (like turning down a appearance in Ibiza because our band was already off the rails). Point is they could have said that they don't want Jason in Vegas, but he wanted to do an appearance and make a statement.... Unless we were there in that office, we don't know how that decision came to.

I think I might be able to fit in a few seconds of screaming a warning into the microphone before running to find my pregnant wife. I hope you would too.

I like to think I would too but it's disingenuous to pretend I know for sure that I would and I sincerely hope none of us ever have to find out.

After he got done singing "I won't back down", it would have been appropriate to have Alannis Morisette hop up there and close out with "Isn't it ironic".

I would hesitate to be this stern about a human being who ran from gunfire. How substantial is heroism if it's something that we expect from everybody?

Him running is actually what let everybody know that they needed to run. Him yelling into the microphone would have done nothing but delay him getting to safety.
