Hmmmmm...interdasting.
I would like the record to show that I am not a khabib fan, but I watched the press conference and recalled him contradicting his rogan statement, so I thought it was worth mentioning.

Yes, said exactly the opposite. Good on him for being honest about it. Maybe he sat back and realized how stupid the comment was? I mean really, what better way to impress fans, intimidate opponents, send a message etc...than a brutal finish?

Or maybe he thought about it, decided his initial comments were disrespectful to Edson, and decided to go a different route in the press conference. Who knows with these guys. I do agree though, he was very likely trying to finish him and didn't do it.

He's an odd guy. In the interview he also talks about being a champion both inside and outside the cage. He says you can beat evreyone they put put in front of you insidee the cage, but if you aRe getting into trouble and setting a bad example outside the cage, you aren't a true chamption. His examples he looks up to as champions inside and outside the ring? Fedor, gsp, and wait for it....wait....fir...it....Mike tyson, lol.
