Jones I bet is pretty connected there due to his status and work with law enforcement. Not sure about Diego. But Albuquerque is very blue and no doubt soft on crime so he will probably be good.

I've been telling people for almost 30 years now that there's something going on with the powerlines down there.
There's a relentless and never ending buzz, everywhere you go in that town. Its right on the edge of what we can hear, and I swear you can even feel it at times. Just slowly pecking away at sanity and keeping everyone on edge.
I'm convinced thats why everyone down there is fucking crazy.
I almost moved to new mexico because the houses cost a third of what they cost here in L.A county especially at the time in like 2014 much cheaper. I spent a week there and it was like skid row but with shittier weather.

These guys are "doing ok" because they are still fighting, imo.
They have a routine that takes most of their times, they have people telling them what to do and where to be and hold them accountable. They are told when and what to eat, when to go to bed, etc..
They fall apart when they lose all that.
