Yes, we all the love the classic 80s movie, but the book is SO much better...blood-thirsty Rambo, super- soldier using his Green Beret training on a small Kentucky town needs to be remade.

Almost no blood in the original, when he kills HUNDREDS in the book, yeah, it's not patriotic like the movie but so much better.

It is the eternal struggle between cop and hippie...do it Hollywood!

Yeah, the movie isn't the book, at all.
A true to the source remake would be pretty awesome.

I just finished the book for the first time a few days ago
Would be a tough movie. Particularly with how good and different the first was, let alone the sequels

Especially Teasle...he's a complete bumfuck cop in the movie when in the book he's a likable guy (mostly).

It's... Hollywood. You'd get a strong, independent black lesbian paraplegic who survived the horrors of the first Trump administration. I mean, I guess you'd get the naked riding past cops part. It'll be a mobility scooter and her tits will be clapping together behind her back, but at least it'll "subvert expectations."
