I never saw the original 3 (born in '79), so I just started watching them- liked the first one a LOT- very well-filmed car chases that actually looked FAST, not just fast-cut. About a third of the way through the ROAD WARRIOR... so far, not seeing the "insane action" everyone lauds, but maybe I'm not up to it yet.

I can't express how fucking BAD ASS this new one looks! Anyone else stoked for this!?

all reviews indicate that it is a BEAST. 97% on RT right now. Never realized the first 3 are 88%, 100% and 82% respectively.

The Road Warrior was considered bad ass for its time, but i don't think it holds up exceedingly well today due to all the limitations placed upon it by the technology of 1981. It was better than Mad Max imo.

I avoided watching all trailers and finally caved. Was surprised at how good it looked.

It's like watching Twisted Metal the motion picture.

Its movies like this one that make me think we are in the next era of great action flicks, like the 80s. Except now its great actors and awesome special effects.
