Same, my dad never hit me, he just wasn't there, I don't think he came to a single wrestling match in my high school years. It wasn't till the last 20 years that we became really close when he moved up to live with us. He told me about a year before he passed how proud he was of me. First time I ever heard those words cross his lips.
@NiteProwleR I think you will like this as well, the story of Kurt Warner, he had a strong faith in god that he would make it to the NFL. He did and became a hall of famer. Dennis Quaid is in it as well. One of my favorite sport movies.
