General I fired a guest last night

Single mom, has a 7 month old baby and a 3 year old son.

The son is a banshee, screaming non stop, dumping salt and pepper on the tables, running around the restaurant. We normally try and set them in a separate area but last night it came to a head. Had several guests comment to my daughter that they were not impressed. I went and talked to her, told her I appreciate your business but you have to reign your child in when you are here otherwise I can't have you come in here to dine in anymore. I said I get it, my daughter went through that phase but it is starting to impact my other guests. She said she understood, paid her bill and left.

Not making a scene, paying her bill, and leaving on her own is more than I'd expect out of a lot of single mothers. So there's that.

got a 1 star review but not from her, family of six, Dad walks in with a yeti cup, I say sorry sir due to our alcohol and food license we can't allow outside food or drinks. He argued it's just water, doesn't matter sir.

Then they asked if we had something on the menu we don't have, sorry we don't. Then the wife asked if we another item that we don't carry, sorry we don't.

They were like, we out of here. I recommended a couple restaurants in the area to them that might carry what they were looking for.

Review was basically zero customer service, they didn't care about us being there and it shows since the place was empty.

Um, you came in at 3 PM which is after our lunch rush and before our dinner rush. Sorry I don't want to lose my licensing.

People still amaze me.
