I remember going up against this guy from a rival school when I was younger in wrestling and he absolutely manhandled me, basically made me look 100% amateurish, foolish and just plain incapable of wrestling and I thought "that can't be right, no one has ever done that to me and I wasn't warned about this and there was no coaches report/coaching/warning about this or on this freak of nature?"

My head wasn't all there bc I was working on finishing something before legendary shoe "big brother came on cbs after 60 minutes," but tje last segment of Sundays episode was saying how there are/have been hidden motors in bikes fr decades...give them a little boost for about 20 munutes

It's crazy. I used to occasionally watch parts of the Tour De France and I clearly remember thinking... "Hey! How the fuck is that guy effortlessly speeding past those other guys who are clearly struggling?" Especially going uphill? It happens so often you can't not notice it.

Great documentary. I love the ones that start off with one story and gets sidetracked on a much more interesting story. Much like Smashing Machine and Prescription Thugs.
Icarus is of course a few levels above those two in impact and wow factor. I don’t know how anyone can be sympathetic to the Russian government, especially in sports. I watched another piece on Russian hackers and one of the dudes they interviewed said that Russian engineers are taught the science etc but are never taught ethics. This has allowed the government to essentially pump out unethical doctors, computer scientists etc etc.
