I'm biased as a motherfucker that goes with out saying but he simply does not have the explosion to get in on McGregor without ateing a skip back left hand that will send him the promised land, if and its an enormous if he can get Mc to the cage and get working its trouble/gravy depending on your politics, but my unbiased analytics say that's a negatory.
From what I've seen he'll easily be able to throw McGregor if he can stay outside then close after Mc throws a sloppy leg kick. On the ground he destroys the superstar Irishmen.

You're talking to someone who's been watching mainly judo and wrestling for the last few years after giving up on MMA so please take my opinion with a grain of salt bud even I know that I don't have it worked out yet

Ohh ye if he can pin him to the cage and start working I expect the air miles to pour in and a horrible grounding to ensue.

Air miles to pour in?

Why does he need the cage to throw him?
Because he will find it very hard to get hands on him in open space, Mc is a twinkle toed motherfucker who's very good at looking like he's there to be shot in for a single etc but disappearing and throwing quality hands while he's doing it. The thing is the space between them will get very long very quick at the first sign of intent from Khabib, and that will be a rinse and repeat for the whole fight I reckon with Mc staying patient very similar to the Alvarez fight.

Khabib trains at AKA. Always injured and pulls out. Has weight issues. Without those problems, he'd be the champ at lw.

I think Rogan suggested him and Tony should just fight at catchweight.

His bio says that he walks around at 194, he's not young so that should be steady. I did notice that he doesn't carry much muscle so that could be an issue.
The older you get, the harder it is to fluctuate weight like that. Not if you want to perform.

Injury, injury, injury, and he's missed weight twice including his most recent fight that had to be cancelled because he was so sick from the cut. Add in the fact that he can't fight near Ramadan and he's just too inactive to really stake his claim.

Shame too because he's a monster on the ground.
Wasnt he eating cake or something the week of the fight? Not a smart move and
extremely disrespectful to Ferguson who actually disciplined himself to make the damn weight

khabib is going to get straight punched the fuck out trying to get a takedown . i would love to see mcgregor get manhandled by the russian but khabibs stand up is lacking.conors ground game is lacking too but every fight starts on the feet

I only just as in tonight started following him cause I was looking for a reason to get back into following MMA.
(...) he epitomizes everything I like about fighting
you're in for a huge disappointment. that juicy undefeated record looks great on paper but he is one fighter with great takedown defense away from getting smashed on the feet. plus he "epitomizes everything you like about fighting"? don't you like punches and kicks? he is awful at that.
