When Francis was the HW champ, Jon wanted NOTHING to do with the HW division.
The moment it was announced that Francis was leaving the UFC, Jon decides he's ready to fight cereal, an absolute joke of an opponent. Then begs for a fight against a 40+ yo, Stipe who had not fought in 3.5 years.
Now, like Francis a legit dangerous opponent in Aspinall is trying to get Jon to sign and the pussy is running.
Not even accounting for all his failed tests but his flat out refusal to fight the best, it's impossible for him to be considered the greatest.

Jon spoke of moving to HW in 2013.
I think he learned in the gym that he wasn't built for that life, probably after sparring The Reem in his prime.
Hence only fighting white belt BJJ Gane and 44 year old Stipe when he finally moved to HW.

"I'll definitely move up to heavyweight," Jones responded. "But it'll probably be around 2013. Maybe at the end of 2013."

That was when he was told of his 4 year suspension that no one was obligated to disclose to the public. Jones: "Uhh, I'll tell people I'm moving up to heavyweight and voluntarily giving up the belt... yeah!"

its kinda hard to argue for jones to be GOAT when he cheated multiple times to the point of where they made special picogram rules and moved entire events at the last minute for him . he has ducked top opponents and chose to fight the ghost of stipe . that is not even getting in to him being a dirty cunt and eye poking every single person he ever fought . he has tarnished his legacy and will be remembered as a homosexual crackhead who ducked tougher competition and held the belt hostage. he could have been remembered as the youngest champ (except for vitor) . he could have been remembered as one of the greatest fighters ever but he cant stop being a piece of shit . now his legacy is that of a coward and a duck in a sport where your past means nothing compared to the present . there are fans out there who never saw jon jones run thru all the legends . they just know him as some unc who never fights but at the end of the day jon did this to himself
