Trump, threatened to arrest a political opponent who's under investigation and was suspiciously acquitted the first time.

Hillary, threatened to drone strike a political opponent whos a foreign citizen on foreign soil.

Trump is totally way worse.

Didn't answer my question....
Nor mine. Why does ego have to play such a big role in these discussions? It's like a battle for moral supremacy, where some cannot even admit to the smallest of mistakes. Sad.

The problem arises because he has already assigned guilt, rather than allow it to be determined in a court of law, and his authoritarian tendencies leave enough ambiguity as to what he would actually do.

I'm just asking if you honestly believe he meant it as a threat and not a joke in regards to her scandals and him believing that she was guilty.

Do you honestly believe Trump is planning on having Hillary thrown in jail if he wins this election? Did you take his words as him meaning "when I'm president, I'm going to throw whoever I want in prison without trial."

He may have been joking, however, because of his authoritarian tendencies and his past habit of claiming joking when he clearly wasn't, I'm not 100% sure. It's pretty clear he and some of his supporters already believe that Hillary should be in jail, regardless of what a court says.

Yeah but believing someone is guilty and believing that they should be stripped of their rights to a trial and presumption of innocence in a court of law are two different things.

We hear about crimes committed every day in the papers and we make decisions on whether we believe a party is guilty or not, given the evidence at hand. Just because he believes Hillary is guilty and should face jail time (as I and a lot of other people do) doesn't mean he's condoning the cancellation of her rights.

Trump has said a lot of things that people can grab a hold of and pick apart, but this one is just fuckin silly.
