I was referring to their promotional world tour, not the actual fight, but I also don't disagree with any of your points, generally speaking.
They even sent Floyd Sr. in to ruin Conor's solo presser, but it didn't really work aside from showing how punchy Floyd Sr. is.

Mayweather usually eats big on weigh in day to get as close to 154 as possible. Thus far I think the closest he's come is 151 for both cotto and canelo, and then on fight night he's a pound or two less.
