I think I had only heard of him once before. Probably on the JRE. I clicked on one of his videos. With one look, he was obviously on steroids, so I just lost interest.
That was the thing - he actively marketed himself as being natural. He got on every single podcast he could get on and was constantly asked if he used. He'd act all macho tough guy pissed about being asked and double down that he was clean, only pussies take gear, insinuated guys asking him if he was on gear were pussies and more. It was outlandish.
He had gone to a guy (apparently as I don't run in those circles) pretty popular in the bodybuilding underground to design a PED stack for him. IIRC, he was spending like $30k a month or some insane shit like that. In his original consultation emails with the guy, he plainly admits he wants to grow from nothing to (IIRC) 1.5 million followers in the first year.
He goes ham on social, and a big part of his schtick is him being natural as our ancestors didn't have gear, etc. Then he starts putting his kids and wife and more in videos and it goes off the deep end.
He apparently went so hard on the being clean part that the guy who designed his stack for him couldn't take it anymore and leaked everything to Derek from More Plates, More Dates (one of the biggest supplement / PED type guys in the workout space, huge following, been on Rogan a couple times, etc). MPMD exposes it and all hell breaks loose from there.
As someone that's been in the workout industry for a long time, I absolutely can't stand 99.9% of the workout industry.
And LiarKing epitomizes a huge chunk of exactly what's wrong with it.
