Sounds like Louisville picked up a good coach from Kentucky Wild @Wild
A good recruiter, maybe. I dont think he can coach for shit, but he apparently has deep recruiting connections. The thing that concerns me is, he was pulling big time players at UK pre-NIL, because he was paying players before it was 'legal. Around here, we referred to him as Bagman Marrow. Then when NIL rolled out, their classes regressed pretty drastically. That's because the playing field ($) leveled out. So we'll see.

So is the 20.5m salary cap across ALL sports?
Yessir
The interesting part isn't the 70% or whatever football will get. It's what schools will do with the remaining. Equalish across the board? Become the greatest at softball or swim or tennis?
It will be something to watch

I’d bet money he got a pay bump but I love that he didn’t just go to the highest bidder. College sports are so damn weird these days.

Gotta give you credit. I thought the lawsuit being over would quiet things down, you were right, gonna be chaos until someone fixes it or it destroys itself from the greed.

Yeah this whole thing has forever changed college sports. Not sure what can fix it now. The greedy ass hats from years ago are hopefully thinking they should've made adjustments back then. Who knows but I know we'll still watch.

I'm definitely not as interested these days though. A&M has been on a pretty solid heater in recruiting lately and I'm like "cool'. In years past that would've been a completely different vibe. Maybe that's bc we've done f all with good recruiting in the past as well lmfao. I do believe Elko is a great coach/leader so we'll see.

Oklahoma recruiting is a little off I read although you guys got a great QB commitment the other day correct?

Actually it's probably better than it's ever been. At least I hope. Bringing in Nagy is the experimental approach of attacking recruiting and portals like an NFL team with the GM handling all personal. BV is the just head coach. Nagy's track record of recognizing underrated talent should keep payroll under control without sacrificing talent. Bold strategy I guess.
