fair enough, but your reference to hunting alludes to a hunting rifle, the rest, I'll not discuss.
The hunting comment was because I'd think he knows how to execute a "clean" kill.

No pun intended.

I just cant see that being the case. I think he just tried to beat it, misjudged the speed of the train + spun his tires just enough to get clipped.
im sure the truth will come out one day. lets hope it wasnt

Well aren't you a Debbie downer.

The only difference is, if there isn't a God no harm, no foul. If there is you're fucked.

Think about that for about 60 seconds.
In my eyes believing in god out of fear of being wrong seems worse than not believing at all.

Well how big is your thumb exactly?

Lol

I don't see how this applies here. Meet me in fapout. :p
Just pointing out ridiculous stuff the bible says. I have no problem with the belief in god I have an issue with people who push it upon others like Hughes did on TUF. That being said, even though I think he's a douche, I sincerely hope he makes a full recovery.

Right, you've only wasted your life following a book of fiction.
Btw, did you see Splints thread today?

General - Girl crashes car and take selfie with sister's dead body, live streams it on Instagram | TMMAC - The MMA Community Forum

If there was ever a need for guidance in society, it's now.

Someone should write down a set of standards that people could use for guidance to help them navigate this world, to help them be a positive contributor to society. But how would get people to follow these rules?

A parent raises their children with rewards for good behavior and consequences for bad. Maybe the standards should promise the the ultimate reward/ultimate punishment to give motivation to follow them.

*****
I can't think of one commandment that is stated in the Bible that isnt a good rule to live by and applies to any time in history or future.

I haven't stated my religious beliefs here and won't. It's not the place or time. I'd be happy to go at it in off topic though if you want.

Now, I'm going to stop derailing this thread.

Parents need to teach their kids right from wrong for its own sake, not to please some nebulous diety. However our society is such that parents need to both work to pay the bills, leaving such vital lessons to the media and peers. The media exists to create need and therefore sell product, not to impart morality, creating a downward spiral.

The economic system needs to be fixed using morality, logic, science and reason. Religion has no part to play.

Get a grip dude. By all accounts the guy wasn't struggling for cash and had a farm operation going as he always had been doing, even while fighting.
People with money off themselves all the time dude.

Not saying it's what happened, but to call it a "ridiculous" thought is pretty stupid.

I'm not religious, but give it a rest. You're not going to convert anybody here, so your post was basically masturbation.

This already exists, and it already does what you proposed, and that girl still crashed that car.

Were you going for irony here?
There was a stark difference between what I addressed in the first message vs what I said in the second. I didn't call you an idiot for your faith unprovoked, and I didn't tell you that God doesn't exist. I addressed a specific claim you made with no malice. I don't have an issue with the Christian faith and I would hate to persuade anybody in either direction on it, I just don't buy the "we need religion because we need morality" angle.

Do you really think that what I said was the same as saying "I hate dumbass religious tards" and saying that what you believe is a fairy tale?
Of course you don't.

I was going with the angle of

Is his message going to convert. Vs. is your message going to convert (I.e. Change his views)

Wasn't criticizing your message. Just thinking maybe it was falling on deaf ears.

Btw, I agree that we shouldn't need religion for morality. But Unfortunately I think some people do.

Ohhhhhh I get you now. I wasn't trying to change his views. I just don't like the attack in either direction. I don't like Christians being called tards and I also don't like non-Christians being treated like they're lost degenerates. Not saying you were doing that.

Well it's fucking ridiculous if you think the guy tried to kill himself because he lost some part-time gig with the UFC and is hard up for cash when the guy is doing quite well financially. Are you even thinking this through or just want to think the worst about someone?
