What's makes you think GSP can pick his fights but not Mike?

You're talking about 2 different levels of popularity (based on the totality of their careers). Freddie Roach did an interview where he discussed GSP's most recent contract negotiation with the UFC. In that interview, he mentioned that there was a list of opponents discussed prior to GSP signing on the dotted line. In other words, if GSP wins, they've already decided who's next in line. Obviously, as a fan, I'd prefer that the winner fight Robert Whittaker.

Almost no one signed to the UFC gets to choose their opponents outright. Just look at the backlash that takes place when a fighter doesn't fall in line, even champions like Mighty Mouse or Jon Jones when he refused to fight Chael.

What's makes you think GSP can pick his fights but not Mike? If Bisping flat out said I'm fighting a top 5 MW for the title or waiting they would've made that happen IMO. I think this is a combination of all three parties looking to make the most amount of $ while not considering the outcome after.

What's funny is that I can't think of any other guy but Bisping who can get called out by the smaller guy and it's them who's being called a pussy lol. Imagine DC calling out Stipe or Conor calling out Tyron, those guys would be applauded by the majority for moving up in weight and taking on a tough challenge. Is this because Georges is/was so great or is it absolutely no respect to Bisping? GSPs biggest haters still shit talk about him not moving up after cleaning out his own division (some guys twice). Now after 4 years retired he makes the move and still gets negative criticism. Age and ring rust is every fighters worst nightmare and GSP is going to have to deal with both of them while moving up in weight. If this was against any other top MW would he get praised or still shit on?

I think it's a mixture of ignorant fans not seeing how talented and hard working Bisping is...and also not being around when GSP was in his prime.

I love GSP and Bisping. I'm happy bisping is getting this payday and happy GSP is back. win win.

In his prime, gsp would have no problems with a fighter like bisping. Easy fight for him. But he was already fading before he retired. Now 4 years out who knows what type of gsp we're going to see.
Can his cardio still handle 5 rounds? Can he still close that distance super quick behind his jab and get back out? Can he still shoot or are his knees shot? Will the UFC bright stage lights disorientate him to thinking he's on the Grey's anal probing table again?
Too many unanswered questions, all I do know is that if he does win, McDouchebag's next.

It's pissing me off so much. When he 'retired' I was so happy he didn't go out on a loss. I never wanted to see him fight again.

Apart from the first Hendo fight (which I hate myself for but I've met Dan more times more than Mike) I've always been a Mike fan.
