that's crazy, one of my neighbors sold their house and said they're moving to Austin too. Could probably purchase 2 mansions in Austin for the same price you might find 800sqf condo in some decently shitty neighborhood in San Jo.
I can't complain though because I get hooked up from the VA all the time, as long as I don't buy anything new and just keep using all my old shit, I'll get by

I do like it here, but for 425k ish I could buy property in Austin that would cost 2 million in Willow Glen.
I've also reached the conclusion that I'm not cut out for California. If I'm in the US, I'm not relaxed enough for the west cost. I'm an impatient twat, even when I'm trying to be laid back.
