Interesting match up.

Gus is 6'5" with a 79" reach and far better hands. Luke is 6'3" with a 77" reach so the physical match up shouldn't be too much. I think Gus will win the boxing but that Luke is better everywhere else. I'dLuke can blast some body kicks early and get him down hellhhave a good chance on subbing him. If it stays on the feet Gus will piece him up from range as long as he can avoid the kicks.

Yep. Really tough out for Rockhold, and I wouldn't have advised this fight, but LHW is so thin I can't really complain. Luke should make the top 10 in no time.

I also read this may be for interim LHW title.

I was taking your post seriously until you mentioned Shogun.

I had to do it LOL...If you know my history you know I am a big fan...I am also realistic though.
I have a desire to see him step in last second to get the belt back...I know it would take a heavy shot to land but he only needs one...so a late replacement is my dream and I am sticking to it...although I think him vs DC was a better matchup for Rua because DC likes to prove his striking and that is Shoguns only chance to Win IMO...Gus uses his length so well(although shogun was landing a ton on him in 1st fight...but that was a few surgeries ago)

I hope they do make it for a title. DC isn’t likely to come back to LHW even if he doesn’t beat Stipe. He’s 40 and will probably be 300 pounds by the time he fights Stipe. Can’t imagine how hard it would be for him to get back to 205.
