From what I've seen of these clips, I don't see anything that wasn't already done better in the documentary. Scenes that are a literal copies of what you could already watch. I just hope Mark got paid well, if nothing else.

It looks like they put 3 different masks throughout the movie. Looks pretty good. So far, looks like whatshername will play a victim. Probably, Mark too as he's half black or something right?

I want a PrideFC or Saku movie, stat.
It's not a "movie" and won't be everyone's cup of tea, but Josh Barnett runs a pro wrestling organization called "Josh Barnett's Bloodsport" and is co-promoted by GCW...which is one of those hardcore indie deathmatch type feds.

Bloodsport is technically "pro wrestling", but not at all like WWE, AEW, etc. It's a ring with posts, but just the canvas - no ropes. There's no high flying or overly acrobatic movies. It's pretty much all strikes & grappling. It's full of people with legit grappling, BJJ, MMA, & (especially) catch wrestling backgrounds.

If you remember what '90s Pancrase was back in the day, it's very much like that. Or what "pro wrestling" started out as. It's "worked" in that they're not going full speed, winners are predetermined, there's a definite good guy & bad guy, etc, but it's shoot in that they're doing legit grappling.

Anyway, I bring it up because Barnett ran one called Bushido in Japan last year, and it was 1000% like an old PrideFC event. Had Pride vibes, Lenne Hardt (the crazy Pride lady) was doing the intros, Rampage Jackson even had a match. lol

If you're even remotely into that kinda thing, it's worth looking for & watching.

Also - I dunno if we're allowed to post this kinda thing here or not, but here's a bootleg replay of the event. (Page I'm linking has the bootleg video hosted on another site, but embedded here.) So have plenty of adblockers at the ready.

And it's a Japanese broadcast.

There's a really neat moment just after the Rampage Jackson match where he goes up to Lenne Hardt (crazy Pride lady). They looked like they both loved reliving the old days.

If we're not allowed to post this kinda thing, mods please delete.

Saku got absolutely brutalised by knees to the head by Arona.

As for the movie, I'll watch. The Smashjng machine is must see MMA content and Kerr has a heavy tale to tell. Yeah, the Rock is a sellout Cornball, but maybe he can pull it off. Certainly looks the part. Kerr is a nice guy, got to meet him more than once and even got a roll in. He was kind enough not to pry off my head, so I'll always have a soft spot.
